The UK social investment market is being developed to improve access to finance for charities and social enterprises. Social Spider CIC is working in partnership with social enterprise umbrella body, Social Enterprise UK to produce a guide to the market. The guide has been commissioned by Big Lottery Fund.
Social Spider CIC is working in partnership with other social enterprises and charities based in Waltham Forest to launch a community newspaper for the borough. The newspaper will be published quarterly from June 2014.
Doc Ready is a digital tool that helps young people to prepare and make the most out of mental health related GP visits. Doc Ready was developed by a partnership of organisations including Social Spider CIC, Neontribe, Futuregov and Enabled by Design funded through the Innovation Labs Initiative backed by Comic Relief, Nominet Trust and Right Here.
Social Spider CIC has been commissioned by Intentionality CIC to research and write a think piece exploring the role of love in social enterprise, based on interviews with some of the UK’s leading social entrepreneurs.
A project asking people all across England who have (or have had) mental health difficulties to record a day in their life once a season, analysing what they share to see what really does effect their sense of wellbeing. A day in the life launched in October 2014 and has been featured on BBC News. The project is funded by Public Health England.
